Who is responsible for your information

Information we may collect

• Booking details such as your name, email address, mobile number, chosen service, barber, date and time, and notification preferences.
• Walk-in, cancellation-waitlist and appointment-management information needed to operate the service you request.
• Your optional consent to receive post-visit review invitations and occasional offers using the email and/or WhatsApp contact details you provide.
• Feedback, reviews and messages you choose to send to us.
• Gift-card purchaser and recipient details where gift-card features are used.
• Limited technical and security information needed to protect the website, prevent spam or abuse, diagnose errors and operate secure sessions.

Why we use it

Who may process your information

We use service providers to run the website and customer communications. Depending on the feature you use, these may include Supabase for application data and backend services, Vercel for website hosting, Resend for email delivery, Meta/WhatsApp for WhatsApp messages you choose to receive, Meta Pixel for consent-controlled advertising measurement, and Google for optional Maps and consent-controlled Analytics features when enabled. KARIZMA gift cards are currently arranged and paid for in the shop rather than through online checkout.

We only share information where it is needed to provide or secure a service, meet a legal requirement, or where you have made the relevant choice. These providers operate under their own terms and privacy responsibilities as applicable.

International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we expect the relevant provider arrangements and lawful transfer mechanisms to apply.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including providing appointments and customer support, maintaining appropriate business and accounting records, resolving disputes, meeting legal requirements and protecting the service from misuse. Different records can therefore have different retention periods.

Where information is no longer needed, we aim to delete it, anonymise it or securely restrict its use as appropriate.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain uses. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw that consent for future use.

Marketing choices are separate from appointment messages. The optional booking checkbox covers post-visit review invitations and occasional offers via email and/or WhatsApp where you provide contact details. You can stop marketing emails at any time using our Unsubscribe page, and withdraw WhatsApp marketing permission by messaging KARIZMA on WhatsApp or contacting us at booking@karizmabarber.com. Declining either option will not prevent appointment updates you request. If you have concerns about how we use your information, please contact us first. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and external services

Our separate Cookie Policy explains the website storage we use and how optional features such as the embedded Google Map, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are controlled separately.
